Painting Sculpture January 13th, 2013

The painting of today is a greek statue, the material is marble I think, it somewhat reacts to light like human skin, here are the steps and the process and painting were almost the same as my other works, just this one I took  like 5 hours in total, which is okay, the color wheel just jumped like crazy while figuring out the right tones and values, I feel here is a little progress, like a rice size.

Here is the final result,  a lot of discovery in how light reacts to surface.

God I need to look about folds, greeks were masters in that, let's focus on that soon.
